The FL85 headlamp is the most powerful of the new Coast headlamp series, combining many popular features in a lamp head that also serves as a battery compartment. The first switch is used to turn the white light on and off and to cycle through the three light modes. The second switch operates the red light function, which is used to preserve night vision. The focus function allows you to easily switch from a very wide beam for close-range use to a “bull’s-eye spot” for long-range use by turning the focus ring. Despite its size, this headlamp is very comfortable to wear and has a removable headband with reflectors so that the wearer is visible from all sides.
